If you follow music at all, you know Ferg has been on fire with features lately and it seems like they are only getting better. Listen below via Soundcloud.
Snag a copy of Odd Future splinter group Mellowhype consisting of Hodgy Beats and Left Brain below. Its dope.
San Diego producer/DJ ESTA put on one of the best boiler room sets I’ve ever heard…not to weird…not to extreme…not to loud…sampling all types of music. If you got the time definitely listen to the whole thing.

The ‘genre killer’ has done it yet again
it seems that everything Ta-Ku gets his hands on instantly becomes gold, and it’s no different with his remix of Faker’s Talk is Cheap. Completely detaching any real lyrics and instead infusing scant lyrics layered over a building percussion. What starts as a somber tone builds up into an eruption of emotion around the half way point and continues through the song. Ta-ku really knows how to convey emotions through his building beats and sounds, and this is why so many people love his music. Take a listen for yourself and you’ll know what I mean…
Flatbush Zombies just released the music video to their highly popular song off Better Off Dead “Palm Trees” and not surprising at all it was filmed at the palm tree riddled festival, Coachella, were they made their debut this past year.
SBTRKT links up with long time collaborator and fellow Brit Sampha who sings over the instrumental “Resolute” from the Transitions EP, from earlier in the year. A classic collab of Sampha’s soft smooth vocals with SBTRKT’s experimental synth based electronic production. Take a listen below to TEMPORARY VIEW via soundcloud.
Not sure how I missed this….anyways its dope. 20syl one of my favorites DJ’s who never disappoints hooks up with Oddisee for this track and it really shows his production skill. 20syl one of the four DJ’s consisting of the French Turntablism group C2C, has been releasing a lot of his own material lately and has been featured on KillaStatic numerous times. Anyways, take a listen to his new track and enjoy.
A$AP Mob members Rocky, Ferg, Nast, and Twelvyy released a new single this week titled Hella Hoes and ironically it seems to be exactly what Tyler the Creator is making fun of in his Loiter Squad skit I Just Bought a New Bugatti (I’m Happy). However, it is still a banger and will be featured on A$AP Mob’s upcoming album L.O.R.D which is set to be released sometime this year, no confirmed date yet. While promoting their new single Hot 97 had the Mob over and Funkmaster Flex played “Who Shot You?” instrumental by Biggie while all members dropped in for a verse. Most notably Ferg and Rocky rapping back and forth and poking fun at 50 cent. Take a listen to both.
Hot 97 Freestyle
HAHA watch Tyler the Creator and the rest of the Odd Future gang make fun of typical rappers now-a-days with their skit off Thursday night’s new Loiter Squad episode. Featuring plenty of guns and even a fake bazooka, ridiculous clothing, no shirts, and bitches, Tyler makes it evident how much he hates the stigma of the rap game today and mentions on a new interview with Larry King that he “hates being called a rapper” for this very reason. Watch the video I Just Bought a New Bugatti (I’m Happy) below and his new interview with Larry King were he discusses how he came to be what he is today, what he wants to do in the future, and answers some funny questions.
