The Neighbourhood- Afraid (Twice As Nice Remix)

This electronic twist of the Neighbourhood’s “Afraid” was quite a pleasant christmas surprise. This holiday season they have been treating their fans with brand new tracks off their upcoming album and two new remixes of “Afraid”. Twice as Nice, yet another duo out of Australia, adds very groovy synths to the famous track from The Neighbourhood.

Merry Christmas!!!

Yahtzel- High With Me

Just stumbled across yet another amazing producer/music maker out of Australia and had to post. Max Armata better known by his DJ name Yahtzel has been making music since he was 14, and its some damn good music. Yahtzel’s music packs tons of beats and sounds coming from every which direction and it makes for a very energetic beat. Its relaxed yet carries a dance vibe. He sounds alot like Flume.

Been studying to his music all day.

Bondax- Fires (Ft. Josh Record)

Sit back, stop whatever your doing, homework, projects, studying and put on some headphones and bump this new tune by Bondax. It will be sure to chill you out.

Bondax, the experimental electronic duo hailing from Lancaster, England, consisting of young DJ’s Adam Kaye and George Townsend utilizes downplayed yet powerful beats to get you slowly moving to the beat. The addition of Josh Record’s smooth vocals really makes this a slow jam to dance to.

Preview: Dillon Francis – Without You (The Rebirth)

As he has done before with songs like IDGAFOS and Masta Blasta, Dillon Francis has remixed his own music and is putting out a new version of Without You in his official remix album, set to release December 10th.  The album also includes remixes by dubstep heavyweights Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, newcomers Torro Torro and Hayden James (see our earlier post for Hayden James’ beautiful edit), Henry Fong, Treasure Fingers, and Low Steppa.  A few posts below you can also find ETC! ETC! and Jesse Slayter’s remix.  Each of the remixes I’ve heard so far have been distinctive and great in their own manner, and all are worth listening to.  Dillon’s take on his own song takes a more progressive take on the song that will be sure to find its way into sets across the nation, take a listen, it may be even better than the original..

Bonus: Henry Fong’s remix is released as well, taking a heavier electro but still melodic take on the song.

Vance Joy- Riptide (FlicFlac Edit)

Yet another Australian singer songwriter making some waves in the music community. Vance Joy released his first EP this year, and received great acclaim in Australia where it almost immediately became a commercial success. The EP titled “God Loves You When Your Dancing” included Riptide which to this date his is most popular song. Vance Joy is a mix between folk acoustic guitar infused with pop beats. It will consistently make you shake your legs and bop your head to the strut of the guitar.

In this remix FlicFlac, the duo from Australia,  doesnt mess with the original too much, but adds a great touch and really adds a more electronic beat to the song. Really dig this song. The whistle part is awesome.

Listen to original and the edit, both attached.

Jaguar (Original Mix)

What So Not (the collaboration of Australian based producers Flume and Emoh Instead) takes listeners on a visceral thrill ride with the release of their newest track “Jaguar”.  “Jaguar” harbors many of Flume’s familiar wavy, effortless synthetic rhythms and combines them with exciting trap elements to inspire one of the nastiest drops heard in awhile. Experience it for yourself above, and see why What So Not has people longing for more.
