Youth Lagoon- Worms

This extremely experimental single by Youth Lagoon incorporates space noises…and to say the least it is very interesting. Listen for yourself.

James Blake- Surprise Tracks

Nothing but the best from Blake who released two tracks tonight on his special with BBC Radio 1. One is under his alias Harmonimix where Blake remixes a Beyonce track. Check em out below.

James Vincent McMorrow- Gold

With his sophomore album set to be released shortly, we keep getting more tastes of what to expect from “Post Tropical”. From this release “Gold”, it seems that McMorrow has moved away from his roots a bit, and is embracing the electronic aspect to indie rock, instead of his typical folky/vocal indie rock, and I think its for the best.

McMorrow is scheduled to play the famous Coachella Music Festival in April to showcase his talent as well as his new album.

Bombay Bicycle Club- Luna

With the release of Bombay Bicycle Club’s “So long, see you tomorrow” within the coming month, they have been busy releasing singles off their upcoming album. Bombay Bicycle club previously released “Carry Me” a little bit more experimental than their typical music, but definitely awesome and upbeat.

“Luna” the most recent release from Bombay Bicycle Club, is a much more typical piece by this band. It’s melodic indie-pop vibe will be sure to put you in a great mood with no cares in the world.

Vampire Weekend (Feat. Danny Brown, Heems, and Despot)- Step (Wintertime Remix)

This remix of Vampire Weekend’s “Step” features three very different rappers spitting verses over an original Vampire Weekend beat. The instrumental morphing electronic elements, with piano and string instruments makes for an excellent backdrop. All three emcees rap about love, the “one that got away”, and growing up and take a much more different approach to lost love than Vampire Weekend does in the original “Step”.

With Vampire Weekend’s “Modern Vampires of the City” being one of the best albums of 2013, and already a new remix released via their twitter account in 2014. It seems safe to say Vampire Weekend has high hopes for 2014. This remix is incredible.

The Neighbourhood- Afraid (Twice As Nice Remix)

This electronic twist of the Neighbourhood’s “Afraid” was quite a pleasant christmas surprise. This holiday season they have been treating their fans with brand new tracks off their upcoming album and two new remixes of “Afraid”. Twice as Nice, yet another duo out of Australia, adds very groovy synths to the famous track from The Neighbourhood.

Merry Christmas!!!

James Vincent McMorrow- Red Dust

James Vincent McMorrow an Irish singer songwriter from Dublin, simply put, has the voice of an angel. After releasing his debut album in February of 2010 and receiving great acclaim in the UK and Ireland, many fans are waiting for the release of his second studio album “Post Tropical” which is set to be released in early 2014.

“Red Dust” exudes so many emotions and the amazing voice of McMorrow will definitely give you the chills. If your a fan of Bon Iver or James Blake this is right down your alley. But really who couldnt love the vocals. Take a listen
